Next year, Academy of Learning Career College will celebrate its 30th anniversary of providing post-secondary education in southeast Manitoba. It’s a longevity that owes much to the institution’s reputation for graduating qualified individuals into the workforce of Steinbach and the surrounding area.

Excitement growing for Grunthal Motocross Race Weekend
The Grunthal Motocross (GMX) Race Weekend is quickly approaching, an event the team, riders, and fans are all highly anticipating.
The races start at 8:30am on Sunday, August 25 at the Grunthal Motocross track, with open practice for the riders on Saturday, August 24 from 10 to 3.
The races will be divided into two rounds – one in the morning and one in the afternoon – with riders from various classes hitting the track. A 1-hour intermission will take place around noon, where spectators can grab a meal from the two food trucks on site.

Firewood2Go chopping prices on fuel wood until end of August
Between now and the end of August, Firewood2Go is inviting new and existing customers to cut costs on high-quality fuel wood. Cords of 8’ pine logs are currently on sale for $150 – a price that also includes delivery (12 cord minimum).
With firewood season typically heating up by mid-August, Firewood2Go general Manager Sjoerd Huese is encouraging folks to reserve their cords before there’s a waiting list.
