What could drought-stricken forests mean for Canada's fall foliage?
Drought-stricken parts of Canada could be in for some underwhelming fall foliage if stressed trees lose out on the energy needed to generate some of the season's most brilliant colours, experts say.
Biology professor Susan Dudley at McMaster University says trees in dried out parts of the country could see their leaves die off rather than turn red.
"I can't look at it and make a prediction for a good fall foliage season at all," she said.
Premier Moe looks to strength trade relationships in Asia

Thursday's delivery took us near Brock where Chris Bodnarchuk nominated his crew for a warm meal. Despite 30-50km winds, the team still enjoyed a nice hot meal of Panago Pizza, plus salads and cookies.
That's week one done, we still have three weeks of deliveries left!

Didulo defiant in court as bail hearing adjourned to Monday
A defiant self-proclaimed "Queen of Canada" remains in custody over the weekend after her first appearance in Swift Current Provincial Court.
"Remember, innocent until proven guilty," Romana Didulo told the assembled crowd as she was led into the courtroom on Friday morning. "False accusation of possession of weapons. False accusation of trying to intimidate the justice system."
Judge Alan Jacobson spent 45 minutes patiently explaining the proceedings to Didulo despite her consistent interruptions.
Romana Didulo arrested again, set to appear in court
Saskatchewan RCMP have arrested Romana Didulo, only a day after her arrest in Richmound, with her now facing at least one new charge.
Didulo and Ricky Manz were both apprehended on Thursday for failing to adhere to an undertaking condition that they not contact each other or others arrested in this investigation.
Didulo faces charges of one count of failing to comply with an undertaking condition and one count of intimidation of a justice system participant.

Rosetown Fire Department responds to collisions, fires and emergencies in August
The Rosetown Fire Department says it responded to a wide range of calls in August while also conducting training, equipment inspections and preparing for the arrival of a new vehicle.
The department’s first training night of the month focused on drafting water from a portable tank, pump operations, hooking hydrants and flowing water. A second training session involved running 1410 drills, which included hydrant hookups, deploying lines, relaying water between trucks and practicing nozzle control and flow patterns.
