Traffic delays with incident along Highway 44

A motor vehicle accident is causing traffic delays on Highway 44 between Eatonia and Glidden this morning.

RCMP, flaggers and emergency crews remain on scene, directing traffic through the area at reduced speeds. Drivers are being asked to expect delays to allow responders to safely work.

No details have been released regarding the cause of the crash or whether any injuries are involved.

Saskatchewan RCMP remind families and drivers to prioritize safety this back-to-school season

With the start of the school year just around the corner, Saskatchewan RCMP are reminding parents, students and drivers to take extra care on the roads and around schools.

Officers say now is the time for parents and caregivers to go over basic safety rules with children. That includes crossing at marked locations, making eye contact with drivers before stepping out, and staying alert by putting away distractions such as phones or headphones.

Cut Knife RCMP arrest man wanted on multiple charges

Cut Knife RCMP have arrested a man wanted on multiple charges following an investigation into an incident on Little Pine First Nation.

Creighton Bull-Frank, 27, was taken into custody on Aug. 28 and appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on Aug. 29. He had been wanted on a warrant for forcible confinement, uttering threats, theft of a motor vehicle, and firearms-related offences stemming from an incident on July 31.

Bull-Frank was also wanted by Battlefords RCMP and Moose Jaw Police Service for breaches of court-ordered conditions.

Cyclist recounts frightening collision by Ernfold

A cyclist recovering from a crash on the Trans-Canada Highway near Ernfold on Sunday morning is thanking first responders and motorists for their care.

Doug Angle was about 20 kilometres into his ride along the busy highway, travelling eastbound from Herbert to Moose Jaw, when he was struck by a vehicle. 

"I felt this bang, and I'm lying on my back, looking straight up," he told Swift Current Online Thursday morning.
