After raising $18,000 last year, the Estevan Kinette Club is gearing up for their annual auction, running February 5 to 8. Wallman encourages donations from businesses, crafters, bakers, and artists, with items accepted until the end of January.

EPS seize $8,000 worth of cocaine in Estevan home, one man arrested
The Estevan Police Service found an estimated $8,000 worth of cocaine at a home after executing a search warrant on January 14. As a result, 29-year-old Rylan Strudwick of Estevan was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession, and possession of proceeds of crime exceeding $5,000.
Strudwick remains in custody and will appear at the Estevan Provincial Court on Monday, January 20.

SaskCanola and SaskFlax merge into the brand new SaskOilSeeds
Yesterday, at the Western Canadian Crop Production Show in Saskatoon, SK, a new brand was announced. SaskCanola and SaskFlax announced that they would be amalgamating under one brand called SaskOilSeeds. While this amalgamation isn’t brand new, in fact, they officially merged together on August 1st, 2024, this announcement marks a new chapter in oilseeds for producers in Saskatchewan. Mark Carney launches campaign for Liberal leadership

He made the announcement at a community centre in Edmonton Thursday afternoon, ending nearly a decade of speculation about his political ambitions.
