EPS advises public of police training taking place in Estevan today
The Estevan Police Service is informing the public that there will be police training in public later this week.
The Joint Tactical Support Team, consisting of members from the EPS and the Weyburn Police Service, will be training in the 1900 block of 1st Street.
As well some practice will be taking place at Willow Park Greens, with the specific trailers unspecified.
That will take place on October 3, with increased police presence in the area.

Town of Lampman hosting 'Riders on the Road' event this Saturday
The Town of Lampman was chosen to host a party this Saturday for Game Day - the Riders on the Road presented by McDougall Auctioneers.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders will be in Edmonton to face the Elks at 5 p.m., which will be aired on the big screen in the Lampman Rink.
Teresa Dyck with the Town of Lampman said the free event will kick off with a parade on the north side of Main Street at 4 p.m., ending up at the rink.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Thuy Nguyen presiding. Interment will take place at Estevan City Cemetery. Please join the family for a time of lunch to be held in the church auditorium.
City seeing closures slow driving today in southern Estevan
The City of Estevan has announced a pair of closures happening today on roads that'll close and slow down some streets.
The first closure is on the 1000 block of 2nd Street, closed for sewer replacement. The closure will also include the south sidewalk.
As well, starting at 9:30 a.m., the 900 block of 4th Street will have single-lane access due to groundwater sampling.
The public si asked to slow down and use caution in these areas as the work goes on today.
Canada condemns Iran's strikes on Israel, reiterates calls for ceasefire
As war spread in the Middle East on Tuesday, Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly "unequivocally" condemned Iran's move to fire dozens of missiles into Israel and called for no further escalation in the war from all sides.
Joly also begged Canadians in Lebanon to leave immediately as Israel began what it is calling a limited ground operation against Hezbollah targets in the southern part of that country.
