Wanted person could be in Willow Creek
The Alberta RCMP took to Facebook recently to let people know that a wanted man could be in the M.D. of Willow Creek.
Beuford Plaited Hair is wanted by the RCMP for various crimes, including invitation to sexual touching and as luring a child, but his last location is currently unknown.
His known areas of activity are in Willow Creek, Cardston, Siksika Nation, Sundre, Sunchild First Nation, Standoff, and Blood Tribe.
Bacteria prompts boil water advisory for scenic K-Country campground
Alberta Health Services (AHS) has issued a Boil Water Advisory for a popular Kananaskis Campground - Camp Cadicasu, near the Sibbald Creek Trail. AHS issued the order on September 18 following an earlier verbal order.
City of Estevan gives new report on downtown revitalization as season shifts
The City of Estevan is laying out its latest update with some new changes on the way for sidewalks on one block of the city.
In their update, dated September 11, the city gave out the following updates:

Sidewalks remain open with the exception of areas where excavations for service connections are necessary. In the next two weeks, limited sidewalk access will be in effect for the north side of the 1100 block. Fencing has been installed and signs are in place for both pedestrians and vehicles to take detours.
Tickets for first ever combined men's and women's curling championship go on sale this weekend in Kindersley
Tickets will go on sale for the much anticipated first-ever Saskatchewan Men's and Women's Curling Championship at the West Central Events Center during Goose Festival weekend from 1-4 p.m.
The 2025 Sasktel Tankard and 2025 Viterra Scotties will be hosted in Kindersley Saskatchewan January 20-26. The event features the top men's and women's curling teams competing for their respective titles at the same time inside West Central Events Centre
Previously the championships took place at different times and often in different venues.

At the start of a new term for the Four Winds Learning Centre in Punnichy, students and staff gathered for a celebration and traditional learnings revolving around a central feature of traditional indigenous life – the tipi.
On Wednesday morning, September 18, everyone gathered under the ornate mural in the commons area of the Centre to listen to the teachings of Elder Ed Bitternose. The intent had been to erect a tipi on the grounds while Ed shared his knowledge, but a rainy morning put the construction on hold.

Conserved land expands nearly tenfold near Consul
A chunk of southwest conservation land has recently expanded by more than 1,000 hectares.
Nestled deep into the southwest corner of the province, Zen-Ridge was initially 195 hectares of grasslands, rolling hills, seasonal creeks and streams, and home to several at-risk species.
The Nature Conservancy of Canada's program director for the southwest, Michael Burak, is thrilled with their recent purchase which now totals 1,235 hectares of protected flora and fauna near Consul.
