Dueling markets dominate Strathmore's weekend
Last weekend featured two markets on opposite sides of Strathmore at the same time.
On Saturday (May 31) residents had the choice to visit Main Street Market's Spring Market at the Strathmore Civic Centre, and the Vintage & Vines Country Market at the Legacy Farm Project.
Both events featured dozens of local vendors selling a variety of goods, including arts, crafts, food, and 3D-printed knick knacks.

Liberal government legislation to further tighten Canada-U.S. border expected today
Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree is expected to introduce a bill today spelling out the federal government's next steps on border security.
The recent throne speech promised legislation to bolster security at Canada's borders and new tools for police and intelligence agencies to help them stop the flow of deadly fentanyl and its precursors.
The government also said the Canada Border Services Agency will be given new powers to examine goods destined for export to prevent the movement of illegal and stolen products, including cars.
Removing Chinese tariffs on Canadian agriculture products a priority, says Carney
The federal government plans to work urgently to remove Chinese tariffs on Canadian agriculture and seafood products, Prime Minister Mark Carney said Monday.
"The Canadian government is engaging with its Chinese counterparts at the ministerial level and we'll continue those discussions," Carney told reporters after meeting with premiers in Saskatoon.
"They're a top priority for us."
The commitment came in a statement after the meeting and it says premiers want Canada's trading relationship with China to improve.
Chestermere RCMP locate missing man
Chestermere RCMP have found a missing man.
According to police, 35-year-old Kiefer Cote went missing on May 25, and his car was found four days later.
On Monday (June 2) officers announced that Cote had been found safe.
Chestermere RCMP thanked the public for their assistance.
Wheatland Kings mourn the loss of former player
O'Shea Red Crow, a former player with the Agra Risk Wheatland Kings, passed away on Sunday (June 1).
The 21-year-old passed away after Calgary Police received reports of a man who had fallen from a building on Third Street S.E. The man was confirmed to be Red Crow by his family.
Head coach Douglas Raycroft met with media at the Strathmore Family Centre to talk about the loss.
