PAMI receives $5 million investment through federal and provincial program

Prairie Agricultural Machinery Institute (PAMI), with head offices in Humboldt, has received $5 million in funding over five years following an announcement on May 14 by federal Agriculture and Agri-Food Minister Lawrence MacAulay and Saskatchewan Agriculture Minister David Marit.

The report was released on January 8, and the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation immediately called a press conference to address the report, continued issues, and the Government’s announcement of a Specialized Support Classroom pilot project.

The Wild opens up a world of Saskatchewan set mystery

It’s a slow burn in that the opening scenes set a tone and a bundle of circumstances that hooks viewers in and compels them to stay with the characters and the teasing revelations. Like hundreds of viewers in the Humboldt area and thousands across the country, members of the current Humboldt Broncos were gathered around the TV awaiting the fate of one of their own. Tuesday night was the season finale of the Amazing Race Canada with 2018 Bronco Ty Smith and his partner Kat Kastner in the final three pairs competing for the title. 

Stepping up for nature: colla’beer’ation for conservation

The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) is pleased to announce a colla”beer”ation with Nokomis Craft Ales, a brewery located in the rural community of Nokomis, Saskatchewan, who are pouring out $0.50 per can to support NCC initiatives. The beer is now available in stores throughout Saskatchewan, which is ideal timing to acquire some and enjoy during the upcoming September long weekend.

Parks Week and Parks Day have excitement in store for visitors

Saskatchewan Parks are the place to be anytime, but on Parks Day, Saturday, July 15, there is added excitement. There are planned activities at most Saskatchewan Provincial Parks, including nearby Carlton Trail Historic Park and Green Water Lake Provincial Park. It’s part of Parks Week from July 9 – 15.
