Teen driver arrested after collision in Portage
Last week, a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of 8th Ave. W and 9th St. NW. The incident, which was reported to the RCMP around 4:00 pm on March 19th, stated a vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign, and led to the crash.
Several occupants of the offending vehicle fled immediately after the collision. However, the driver, a 15-year-old resident, returned to the scene shortly after and was promptly arrested by the RCMP for failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
Shamrocks champions of the THHL
The Killarney Shamrocks are champions of the Tiger Hills Hockey League.
After falling in game three, the Shamrocks responded with a game four win on the road to capture the league title three games to one.
"It feels pretty good," Killarney goalie Brian Archibald said with smile when asked what it was like waking up Friday morning as a champion.

When can you see the U11 Wheatland Hawks in provincials this weekend?
The U11 AA Wheatland Hawks hockey team is lacing up their skates for the provincial championship.
There are eight teams taking part in the tournament, with some travelling as far as Leduc, Strathcona, and Lethbridge. All of the games take place at the Strathmore Family Centre Arena, which started on Thursday, March 27.
