Last week, a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of 8th Ave. W and 9th St. NW. The incident, which was reported to the RCMP around 4:00 pm on March 19th, stated a vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign, and led to the crash.

Several occupants of the offending vehicle fled immediately after the collision. However, the driver, a 15-year-old resident, returned to the scene shortly after and was promptly arrested by the RCMP for failing to remain at the scene of an accident.

The Killarney Shamrocks are champions of the Tiger Hills Hockey League.

After falling in game three, the Shamrocks responded with a game four win on the road to capture the league title three games to one.

"It feels pretty good," Killarney goalie Brian Archibald said with smile when asked what it was like waking up Friday morning as a champion.

After games one and three where it was the Winkler Flyers scoring in the third period to eventually win, Thursday night saw the Niverville Nighthawks steal a page from that book and even up the series with a thrilling 3-2 win at the CRRC.

As has been the norm in the series, both teams stood toe-to-toe and knew if they wanted to deliver a punch, they'd have to take one.

Three minutes into the game, the teams exchanged power play chances and while the Flyers failed, the Nighthawks did not.

Home cooking has been the recipe for success in the series between the Humboldt Broncos and Flin Flon Bombers.  

Through the first four games, the home squad has won each contest as the Broncos will try and break that trend on Saturday night at the Whitney Forum.  

After their second straight overtime win on Wednesday night, Associate Coach Carter Hansen said the pressure falls back to the Bombers.

Kadon McCann and Ethan Neutens suit up for the top-seeded Medicine Hat Tigers as they take on the Swift Current Broncos in the Eastern Conference. Neutens was traded to the Tigers earlier this season by the Kelowna Rockets, and McCann has played his entire WHL career in Medicine Hat.

The final game of the Saskatchewan Junior Female Hockey League game is tonight as the Outlook Ice Hawks host the Regina Jr. Rebels in a winner take all Game 3 for the Bourgault Cup. 

Speaking with Ice Hawks head coach Josh Houseman prior to the winner-take-all game, he first went into their series with Lumsden that got them to the finals.

The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings return home this weekend with a chance to advance to the SJHL playoff semifinals Saturday night against the Battlefords North Stars. After splitting the home series in Weyburn last weekend, the Red Wings soared to victory in North Battleford, taking both road games on Tuesday and Wednesday.  

First Avenue Dental captured the Innovation Federal Credit Union Super League January to March championship Thursday night.

The team of Kelly Schafer, Clint Walker, Teejay Haichert, Kurt Dixon, and Chris Haichert beat Team Ross in the finals.

Meanwhile, the Chinook Golf Course finished in third place, beating Maximum Energy.

Swift Plumbing & Heating knocked off Team James to claim the consolation championship.

The U11 AA Wheatland Hawks hockey team is lacing up their skates for the provincial championship.

There are eight teams taking part in the tournament, with some travelling as far as Leduc, Strathcona, and Lethbridge. All of the games take place at the Strathmore Family Centre Arena, which started on Thursday, March 27.

They tied the Elrose team 2-2 Thursday evening, after beating them in game one 4-3.
