The Town of Sylvan Lake's mandatory water conservation program is coming into effect on April 1.
The annual program helps the town protect the aquifer and ensure there is enough water.

École Fox Run’s annual science day inspires all ages
At École Fox Run School recently, about 150 Grade 8 students and 130 Grade 2 students from C.P. Blakely Elementary School and Beacon Hill School took part in a special science day.
This is the first year Beacon Hill has participated.
The event happens annually and has become a tradition at Fox Run School that students eagerly anticipate.
“It gets us out of class and learning new things,” says Arianna A., a Grade 8 Fox Run student.
Ponoka residents invited to “Coffee with a Cop” today
The Ponoka RCMP is inviting residents to “Coffee with a Cop,” today (March 26) at 1 p.m.
The event gives residents an opportunity to get to know local officers and discuss policing duties and responsibilities.
RCMP members will be available to discuss policing priorities, concerns, crime in the community, reduction initiatives, and how to keep the community safe.
Bisons bounce back with 6-5 win in Sylvan Lake
The Carstar Okotoks Bisons may have been down heading into game 3 of the HJHL final, but after a hard-fought 6-5 win, they're certainly not out.
They were in Sylvan Lake on Tuesday night (March 25) after two consecutive losses to the Wranglers in the best-of-five series.
The reigning league champion Bisons may not have had home-ice advantage in the do-or-die third game, but they quickly made their presence known, with Trevor Bonham landing a goal at the six-minute mark, and Kegan Law making it 2-0 just 90 seconds later thanks to a power play.

Olds RCMP warn public about text message phishing scam
Olds RCMP is warning the public about a text message phishing scam.
Scammers are sending fictitious "RCMP Delivery Notice" messages. The texts state that the RCMP has been unable to deliver court documents and ask people to "please reschedule the delivery to avoid missing your court date by using the link below."
Investigators remind the public that the RCMP does not issue notices by text message.
RCMP members may however correspond with clients via text message depending on the situation.
Liberals and Conservatives taking their federal election campaigns to Quebec
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre and Liberal Leader Mark Carney are shifting their campaigns to Quebec.
Poilievre, who held a rally in Hamilton on Tuesday night with an estimated crowd of about 4,500 people, is expected at a news conference in Montmagny, Que., around noon and at a rally in Quebec City in the evening.
Carney, who spent the first few days of the campaign in Atlantic Canada, will be in Ontario today, scheduled for an announcement and a facility tour in Windsor, a facility tour in London and a rally in Kitchener.
