It's impossible to pass through life without experiencing times when you cannot see your way through a deep valley. Times when the package delivered at the back door comes delivered in the ugly wrappingof death or affliction or illness or even divorce.

Golden West Broadcasting hosted a celebration lunch for long-time member Aaron Matthews yesterday as he spent his final day with the company.

Aaron worked part-time for the radio station since joining in 2017 and was able to live out his dream, of working in the radio industry in his hometown.

He was in charge of our recycling department, helped our admin team, joined our on-air announcers for shows, helped out with promotions, and added some liveliness to our staff meetings weekly.

If you live in the light of Christ's return each day of your life, it does wonders for your perspective. If you realize that you must give account for every idle word and action when you stand before the Lord Jesus, it does amazing things to your conduct.

It also makes you recognize how many needless activities we get involved in on this earth. Sort of like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Don't bother! Don't get lost in insignificant details! He's coming soon!

Six racers were honoured during the Estevan Motor Speedway Awards Banquet Saturday night at the Days Inn.

Travis Hagen (Williston, N.D.) was the modified champion, Chris Hortness (Estevan) won the stockcar, Robby Rosselli (Minot, N.D.) was tops in sport mods, hobby stock went to Kyler Satran (Minot, N.D.), and and Jacek Ashworth (Weyburn) claimed the slingshot.

Rick Milewicz was named Volunteer of the Year.

To the surprise of many people, the Bible says a great deal about money.It talks about earning and spending, saving and giving, investing and even wasting our money. But in none of this does it ever come near to suggesting that money brings ultimate security.

The RCMP reported Monday evening that McArthur has been located. They thanked the public for their assistance.

The Saskatchewan RCMP issued a missing person advisory on Sunday night, asking the public for help finding a woman reported missing from Pheasant Rump First Nation.

The Carlyle RCMP said Shirley McArthur was last seen at 3 p.m. on November 2.

She is described as 175 centimetres, 85 kg (or 5-foot-9, 187 pounds), and was wearing a light grey coat.

Anyone who has seen McArthur is asked to contact the RCMP.
