Government lays groundwork for provincial Marshals Service

The government of Saskatchewan is continuing with its plans to develop a Marshall service to bolster provincial policing.

The Police (Miscellaneous) Amendment Act, 2023 officially designates the Saskatchewan Marshals Service as a police service in Saskatchewan and sets out details and processes for the service's structure, operation and governance. The Act also creates a chief marshal position, which will be responsible for the administration, management and operation of the service. The legislation was introduced on November 7.

A Place for Prayer

Psalm 32:6

Never underestimate the place of prayer.I'm convinced that one of the reasons we are so lax in prayer is that we have never prepared a place to meet with God. When you want to draw near to the heart of God, you have to get away from the din, awayfrom the confusion, away from the noise and distractions.

You need a place apart—a place where you can separate yourself from the distractions of daily life and meet, alone, with God.

Then, be specific in your prayer life.

Knowing Your Child

Proverbs 22:6

When it comes to rearing children, developing a strong home where happiness and harmony can flourish, there is a primary starting point: knowing your child.

This is the most profound insight, the single most helpful secret I can pass on to you on the subject of childrearing.

Do not think that just because you have conceived, carried, and finally given birth to your little one, you automatically know your child. Nor can you say you know him or herjust because you live in the same house. I must say, categorically, you do not.

The situation in Richmound is moving, as Romana Didulo and others have packed up and headed to a local farm.

Richmound residents were thrilled to see that the RVs and motorhomes parked at the school were packing up. It was only when they turned away from the highway, heading north on a grid road that they realized something was strange.

Arlene Miller, a resident in Richmound, was disheartened to learn they had moved only seven miles out of town.

God Never Leads Us Astray

Psalm 5:8

God's voice isn't all that difficult to hear. In fact, you almost have to be closing your eyes and stopping your ears to miss it.

He sometimes shouts through our pain, whispers to us while we're relaxing on vacation, occasionally He sings to us in a song, and warns us through the 66 books of His written Word. It's right there, ink on paper.

Count on it—that Book will never lead you astray.
