'Large sinkhole' opens up during morning rush
Police have barricaded part of a road in the Minto neighbourhood after a "large sinkhole" opened up early Tuesday morning.
The Winnipeg Police Service says in a tweet that the "Inside lanes for both directions are barricaded" for St. Matthews Ave. at Spruce St.
The curb lane is open in both directions. However, police are asking the public to avoid the area if possible.
Saskatoon Police Service searching for missing mother and son
The Saskatoon Police Service issued an update Monday saying they're continuing to search for a mother and son that were reported missing Sunday evening.
48-year-old Dawn Walker and seven-year-old Vincent Jansen were reported missing when friends were unable to contact them.

Man dies in fire following exchange of gunfire, standoff with police: RCMP
A man is dead after police allege he barricaded himself in a home following an exchange of gunfire with Mounties who were attempting to execute an arrest warrant in southwestern Manitoba.
The Manitoba RCMP says in a release that officers from the Blue Hills and Killarney Detachment went to a home in the RM of Prairie Lakes to serve the warrant at 9:50 on Friday evening.
Police close road after 'massive sinkhole' opens up
Winnipeg police have closed off part of a busy intersection after a sinkhole opened up on Wednesday evening.
Just after 10:30 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service sent out an alert that the entire intersection of Inkster Boulevard and Salter Street had been closed. The "massive sinkhole" had opened up in the middle of the intersection.

20-year-old killed, teen charged after SUV strikes truck hauling camper
A teenage male from Winnipeg is facing two charges after a collision north of the city claimed the life of a young man earlier this week.
The Manitoba RCMP says in a release that officers from Selkirk RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 8 and Highway 230, in the RM of St. Andrews, around 10:30 p.m. on July 18, 2022.

Trans-Canada reopens east of Kenora following washout
Canada's major east-west link is open once again in northwestern Ontario following an hours-long closure that left semis lined up in both directions down the highway.
A washout caused "a substantial hole in the highway" and there was no way around it as highway crews scrambled to make repairs. As of 1:45 p.m. traffic was flowing in both directions again.

Ontario's Ministry of Transportation (MTO) reports Highway 17 is closed near distance marker 108 and Richard Lake, about 40 km east of Kenora. The MTO says no detour is in place.
Overland Flood Warning issued ahead of moisture packed system's arrival
The Manitoba Hydrologic Forecast Centre has issued an Overland Flood Warning for all of Southern Manitoba ahead of a moisture-laden system which could drop substantial rainfall across the region beginning late Monday night through Tuesday night.
The warning will be in place until Wednesday, according to the Province.
