It is with sadness that the family of Laura MacLean announce her death in Moose Jaw on September 7th, 2025, one month before her ninetieth birthday.

Laura was predeceased by her husband Ron in 2005 and son Ron in 1994, as well as siblings Marie, Marguerite, Alice, Bernard, Pat, George and Greg.

A one of a kind, he was known for his quick wit, lively humor and fierce determination. Bernie could light up any room leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Cecil Floyd Smith

Cecil Floyd Smith of Moose Jaw passed away on September 3, 2025 at the age of 91. He was born in Moose Jaw and grew up on the family farm near Archydal. He attended Summerside School in Archydal and Peacock High School in Moose Jaw. Cecil met his wife Helen in 1955, and they were happily married until Helen passed away in January 2018. Cecil worked for the CNR Section Crew for a short time, then worked at Palm Dairies in Moose Jaw as a milkman for 32 years. Before retiring, he worked as a caretaker for Moose Jaw Housing at Victoria Towers and High Park Towers.

Dora (Dodi) Genevia Shasko

It is with deep sadness that the family of Dora (Dodi) Genevia Shasko announces her passing on Sunday, August 31, 2025, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was 71 years old and passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving husband, Danny, and family.

Born on January 18,1954, in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Dora—affectionately known as “The Explorer” to friends and even strangers—lived with a free- spirited zest for life. She embraced every season of her journey with vibrancy, adventure, and an untamed spirit.

Carol Ann Huffman

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Carol Ann Huffman, a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother on Friday August 15, 2025.

Carol was born in Moose Jaw on February 22, 1948, the seventh of eight children to parents Gladys and James. She was the mother of five children with her previous spouse. Carol was predeceased by her spouse Jerry Norris SR, with whom she had one more child. She is survived by four children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

Irene Ehlie

Irene Ehlie passed away suddenly on August 8, 2025, at the age of 98. Irene is predeceased by her parents Lorna and Ernest Gray, her husband Joe, sisters Marg, Clara (Walt), Yvone (Stan) and Lill (Ed), bothers Ab (Gwen), John (Sharon) and Earl (Vi), mother-in-law Euginie, sister-in-law Marjorie (Ken). She is survived by her son Dale, sister Pat (Rick), brother-in-law Dave as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, grand and great nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff at Dr. F. Erland “Ozzie” Arthur Osberg

August 7, 1946 – August 4, 2025

It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father, Erland “Ozzie” Arthur Osberg, in the early morning hours of August 4, 2025—just shy of his 79th birthday. A true original, Dad was known for his warm smile, quick wit, and the ever-present twinkle in his eye. He brought joy to every room he entered and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
