Southbound Highway 12 closed near Trans-Canada overpass
Motorists are reporting emergency crews on scene of what appears to be a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 12 just south of the #1.
Eastbound #1 traffic is being restricted from turning south onto #12.
Southbound traffic on Highway 12 is at a standstill and backed up nearly to the overpass.
STARS air ambulance landed at the scene.

Manitobans invited to choose new health card design
The Premier of Manitoba is asking for opinions on the look of the new plastic health cards.
The provincial government has unveiled three draft designs for the upcoming health cards.

RCMP emphasizing dangers of speeding, impaired driving after PR 205 stop
According to a post to social media Tuesday evening, RCMP say an officer conducting patrols observed a vehicle traveling at 162 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.
RCMP say the incident happened July 17th, at approximately 9:15 PM, involving a speeding violation on Highway 205 in the R.M. of Morris.
Following the radar detection, the officer conducted a mandatory alcohol screening test on the driver, which returned a WARN reading. The driver, identified as a 29-year-old individual, explained to authorities that they had spent the entire day golfing.
Small community in mourning after pedestrian struck and killed by train
The community of La Broquerie is reeling after a tragic incident as the Saint Jean Baptiste parade was coming to an end on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the train crossing at Principale Street around 12:40 p.m. after a train struck a female pedestrian.
Witnesses say the elderly woman and her male companion were trying to cross in front of the oncoming train. Many suggested the busyness and noise of the parade may have been distracting and contributed to the accident.

3-year-old daughter found, mother arrested in Ontario
A Manitoba woman suspected of abducting her 3-year-old daughter has been located and arrested.
On Tuesday, police arrested 35-year-old Holly Malleck at a residence in the City of Waterloo, Ontario. She was charged with Parental Abduction.
Her daughter, Amelia Deonaraine, was unharmed and is now in the care of another family member.
Police say they were found thanks to a tip from the public.
Last Friday, St. Pierre RCMP requested assistance from the public in locating Malleck and her 3-year-old daughter.
Fire and travel restrictions imposed in southeastern Manitoba due to high fire danger
Manitoba Wildfire Service is implementing measures to mitigate the wildfire risk in the southeast.
In response to the elevated fire danger in the southeastern part of the province, the Manitoba Wildfire Service has announced the implementation of Level 1 Fire & Travel restrictions, effective from 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26, 2023. These measures are aimed at curbing the potential for wildfires in the region.
