Trial dates have been set in Moose Jaw Provincial Court for a man accused of attempted murder in an alleged machete attack.
Kyle Peeace appeared via video in court on Wednesday along with his defence lawyer Doug Andrews via telephone.
Peeace entered not guilty pleas to charges of breaking and entering and uttering threats from an unrelated incident on May 2, two charges of attempted murder from an incident on Sept. 28 and an outstanding assault charge.
Through his lawyer, Peeace elected for a trial by a provincial court judge without a jury.
The breaking and entering and uttering threats charges will go to trial in the morning on Jan. 25. The attempted murder trial will then proceed in the afternoon of Jan. 25 and conclude on Jan. 26.
The outstanding assault charge is going to trial in the afternoon of Feb. 26.
Kyle Peeace was arrested on Sept. 28 along with Dillon Peeace after an alleged machete attack that took place in downtown Moose Jaw.
Aleida Oberholzer appeared as an agent for defence lawyer Andrew Hitchcock on behalf of Dillon on Wednesday. Oberholzer asked for the case to be adjourned to Nov. 22.
