Call it community-minded Christmas spirit.
On Saturday, November 25th, Titanium Mechanical will be overseeing a toy drive to help brighten the holidays for local children in need. Partnering with Rocco’s Pizzeria, they’re inviting everyone with a toy to give or wish to make to Rocco’s between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
“Everyone can come,” says Angelina Friesen of Titanium Mechanical. “Bring your kids to share their wishes with Santa, pick up some baked goods, and get some pizza from Rocco’s for only $2.00 per slice. We will also have some activities for the children to enjoy. The idea is that everyone who comes can bring a toy to donate to a child in need so we can really spread the joy of giving this season.”
The idea for the toy drive was a true team effort at Titanium, where Friesen says the employees have a heart for the community, especially when it comes to Christmas.
“We just want to make sure that every child can feel the joy of Christmas by having something to unwrap on Christmas day,” she explains. “It’s been something we’ve been discussing year-round leading up to this toy drive.”
The Titanium Mechanical crew is also a big fan of Rocco’s Pizzeria.
“Well, we just love Rocco’s pizza,” Friesen says. “We do a lot of business with them, and anytime our company is putting on a lunch they’re always our first choice. We call them right away.”
Located at 23 Brandt St in Steinbach, Rocco’s will be welcoming Santa for the event and will also have polar bear friends for the kids to hang out with to add to the festive atmosphere. And, Friesen points out, that $2.00 per slice includes tax. “It’s a great deal,” she says.”
Friesen says everyone at the Titanium office and at Rocco’s were quite enthusiastic about the idea of a toy drive.
“We kind of just put our heads together to think of what we could do to get the most of this and give back to the community,” she says. “We hope everyone will join us for the toy drive at Rocco’s Pizzeria to participate in the joy of giving.” All proceeds will be going towards the Community Christmas Toys days.
Titanium Mechanical, situated in La Broquerie, provides Steinbach and the surrounding area with quality plumbing, heating, and cooling services. Friesen says they’re there 24/7 to ensure their customers are cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
