The Swift Current Broncos fell 4-0 to the Moose Jaw Warriors on Tuesday night as the Broncos opened a stretch of four games in five nights.

Broncos Interim Head Coach Taras McEwen said it wasn’t a great game all around.

“Just disappointed, we are a team that when we are playing our game, we can beat anybody,” McEwen said. “Every game is important, so definitely not happy with our effort and the way we played tonight.”

Brayden Yager notched a hat-trick for Moose Jaw which was capped off with an empty netter in the third. Jagger Firkus added the other Warrior goal, a shorthanded marker in the second period.

Joey Rocha stopped 33 of 36 shots he saw in the loss. The Broncos powerplay was 0-for-3 on the night and the Broncos mustered 32 shots on goal. McEwen added they got a bit too complex at times.

“We need to simplify things at times,” McEwen said. “I thought we were trying to push a little too hard too early, just with our defence and getting too low.”

The Broncos are now 12-11-1-0 on the season and will welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers to the InnovationPlex on Wednesday.
