The Humboldt Broncos got back in the win column following last night's victory over the Yorkton Terriers. The Broncos fell to the Flin Flon Bombers in their weekend test. The Broncos had a strong winning record on the line in the Tuesday night fray.

Landen Stromme took an early penalty in the first, but Spencer Bell turned the tables on the Terriers to put one past Yorkton goalie Ethan Farrow shorthanded for the game opener. Yorkton evened the score on a power play just a few moments later, but Humboldt would close out the opening frame with a pair of goals, one by Maddox Amaral and a second power play marker of the stick of Connor Miller.

The power play was a factor for much of the evening. Spencer Bell scored his second of the night on a Broncos power play in the opening of the second. For the rest of the period, the Terriers hushed the exuberant Humboldt crowd with a trio of goals, two scored on the power play.

With the score tied after two, the Broncos went to work to own the period, again courtesy of a shorthanded Yorkton squad. Connor Miller scored his second of the night with Yorkton down a player just outside the opening minute. Jeter Korte netted his seventh of the season thanks to maneuvering by Spencer Hughes and Ben Constantino. The icing on the cake came at the 12:12 mark when captain Cage Newans, with assists form Miller and Bell, sealed the deal to make the final score 7-4.

The Broncos have a few days off before their Saturday night home tilt against the Melville Millionaires. Game time at the Elgar Petersen Arena is 7:00 pm with the game call on 107.5 Bolt FM.
