*Update* Found- Wadena RCMP trying to locate three missing children in Quill Lake
Wadena RCMP are currently searching for three children that were last seen this morning (Thursday, March 27) at 8:30 am at Quill Lake School.
The female children are aged 13 and 11. The 11-year-olds are twins.
Police are in the community investigating.
If you have seen these children, you’re asked to contact the Wadena RCMP at 310-RCMP.

Humboldt/Lanigan seeking identification of individual involved with theft from local business
The Humboldt/Lanigan RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in locating an individual of interest.
On March 5, Humboldt RCMP were notified that an elderly female went inside of a business on the 600 block of Main Street and left with a piece of clothing. The female was located on surveillance video. An image is located below.
Free Fishing Weekend in the province February 15-17
If you dress for the temperature and make sure you’ve got shelter breaks in place, then this weekend is a great time to try a little ice fishing.
Free Fishing Weekend is on during this long weekend across Saskatchewan. This weekend, no license is required to fish on Saskatchewan’s many lakes that allow sport fishing. All usual regulations are in effect, including angling limits. If fish are bound out of the province, then a valid Saskatchewan angling license is required.
Busy start to 2025 for Protective Services in Humboldt
As a part of Monday’s Executive Committee meeting for Humboldt City Council, the Protective Services report was presented.
Director of Protective Services Mike Kwasnica reported that January was a busy month for the Fire Department as they responded to eight incidents. There were also 11 fire inspections.
Local 48-year-old male facing multiple charges of assault with a weapon
An incident that occurred on Thursday, February 6 in Humboldt has resulted in a 48-year-old male facing multiple assault charges.
Officers along with local EMS responded to a report of an assault in a business parking lot at around 11:30 pm.
The investigation determined an adult male was armed with a machete and approached two other males in the parking lot. The two groups did not know each other.
During the altercation, one of the males was injured. He was transported to hospital with injuries described as serious in nature. There is no update on his condition.
HCAA Junior Curling District Championship results
The HCAA Junior Curling District Championships hosted by Muenster School took place at the Humboldt Curling over the past two days (Feb.11&12).

Sask. Government announces additional funding for relocatable classrooms including Humboldt
Humboldt is one of several communities that is set to benefit from the latest investment from the Saskatchewan Government to help address growing student enrolment.
On Wednesday, the provincial government announced it would be pledging an additional 29.5 million dollars in relocatable classrooms.
The mid-year funding brings the total investment from the Saskatchewan government up to $58 million for 2024-25.
February Break means fun at the Humboldt Museum and Gallery
Heading into the Family Day long weekend and the ensuing week off in Horizon and Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools, the Humboldt and District Gallery have some downtime covered for kids.
February Break programming goes from February 18 to 21 from 1 to 5 pm each day.
Humboldt/Lanigan seeking information on crimes in Humboldt and Lanigan
Humboldt/Lanigan RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance about a break and enter that occurred in Lanigan.
The incident occurred on Main Street in Lanigan, sometime between January 7 and January 11. The property sustained some minor damage.
