This involves the installation of solar panels at their Zone 3 Reservoir and Pump Station, contributing to an innovative and cost-effective energy strategy for the long term. In a strategic move towards reducing their power costs, and in minimizing their environmental footprint,
Aquatera has invested in state-of-the-art solar panel technology to generate clean and renewable energy. The newly installed solar panels are expected to produce approximately 80 per cent of the power required at the Zone 3 Reservoir and Pump Station, greatly reducing the company’s reliance on traditional power sources, and safeguarding against the cost challenges that can occur in a volatile energy market.
The Aquatera Zone Three Solar Project was completed by Empower Energy, a local company that specializes in solar panel installations. The project began producing power on December 8, 2023.
