Environment Canada is continuing to warn of thick fog throughout much of southern Manitoba. Fog advisories are also in effect in eastern North Dakota, and northern Minnesota.

People planning travel throughout the region should be aware of severely reduced visibility on highways at times. Motorists are reminded to turn their vehicles headlights on as daytime running lights do not activate taillights, making it difficult to be seen for approaching vehicles.

The national weather centre has continued a fog advisory which includes the City of Winnipeg, the Red River Valley, the Interlake, and Eastman.

The fog is expected to continue off and on through the morning. Fog may return tonight in portions of the region.

Along with reduced visibilities, patchy freezing drizzle can occur, resulting in slippery surfaces.

Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.

Fog advisories are issued when near zero visibilities in fog are expected or occurring.
