Since 1982, Senior's Outreach in Grande Prairie offers information not only to seniors but to family, friends, caregivers, neighbors and anyone that is playing a role in a seniors life.
They offer services like
- Assisting senior citizens to obtain available services.
- Identify needs of senior citizens in the community who are not receiving available services.
- Provide communication with agencies and organizations serving senior citizens.
- Identifying gaps in services for senior citizens and assist them to make their needs known to agencies and government.
They also help with:
- providing general senior-related information
- developing customized senior-centered service plans
- finding resources or making referrals to external agencies
- assisting with applications for provincial income supports & federal pensions*
- assisting with health and wellness program applications
- preparing taxes for low income seniors
