The President and Chief Executive Officer for HyLife has announced his retirement.
Grant Lazaruk will be stepping down as of February 29, 2024. Lazaruk has been with the company since 1997.
"We have a solid leadership team at HyLife," says Lazaruk. "I feel the timing is right for me to transition and focus more on community-minded initiatives, such as the Southeast Event Centre in Steinbach."
Lazaruk says he wants to continue giving back where he can and to support his neighbours and the place he calls home.
"I am also looking forward to spending more time with my family and grandchildren," says Lazaruk.
HyLife has announced that Karan Sangfai will be stepping into the position of President and CEO, effective March 1st. Sangfai is currently serving as HyLife's Chief Strategic Officer.
In a release from the company, it says Sangfai has been a major part of their leadership team and has immersed himself in the Steinbach community over the past two years. The release says Sangfai is a seasoned global leader who harbours a deep understanding of the business and embodies company values.
"I am honoured to take on this role," says Sangfai. "It is a privilege to lead a company with such a strong reputation. On behalf of the shareholders, I would like to thank Grant for his many years of service to HyLife."
Sangfai says Lazaruk has not only built a great company, but a great team with a collaborative culture. He says their industry has recently faced challenges, but HyLife is strong and well-positioned.
"I look forward to leading our company to new successes, carrying on our traditions and unwavering partnerships in the communities where we live and work," adds Sangfai.
The release says that with Sangfai's leadership, HyLife is poised to reach new heights and continue its commitment to excellence.
