With up to five centimetres of snow forecasted to fall in and around Airdrie and the surrounding areas, motorists are reminded to exercise caution.

Due to strong wind gusts that are also accompanying the snowfall, there are reports of blowing snow on the QEII headed Southbound towards Calgary city limits. There is also ice and snow buildup on the shoulders of the highway, as well as slippery sections.

Northbound on the QEII towards Carstairs and Crossfield, similar conditions have been reported. The snow is predicted to fall throughout the evening and end on Sunday afternoon, with temperatures dipping to below -20 degrees Celsius.
