While cooler temperatures may have some feeling chilly the Coldest Night Of The Year event actually takes place next month.
The 4th annual CNOY walk put on by The Center takes place February 24th and Executive Director of The Center Nathan Wiebe details their mindset going into the upcoming event.
"We're looking to surpass our goal last year. We're looking to raise a lot of money to go towards our free counseling and our support services building."
Wiebe adds they are always on a mission to bring awareness to what they are doing which is trying to create opportunities for youth and families in our community to get services that are free of charge and make the community better.
The team walking event will take place on February 24th but registrations and donations can begin now by visiting here and selecting the Swift Current location.
Wiebe reflects on what it means to be entering the 4th year of this fundraising event.
"I think this year, being our 4th year doing the CNOY, we're just learning how to get the community involved in different ways. Realistically, being a non-for-profit and being a youth center, it's two things that gel really well with the spirit of Swift Current."
After the walk, an event will also be held to celebrate and show appreciation to all those involved.
Fundraisers may also enjoy the prizes available as Wiebe shares that they will have special prizes for the top adult/youth and team.
