A recent poll by CAA revealed that speeding remains a major concern among Canadian residents.
A press release from CAA reveals that 88 % of Canadians are worried about speeding in residential areas while 22% of respondents admitted to doing so.
"According to the Traffic Injury Research Foundation, traveling even 10km/hr over the speed limit increases the likelihood of a collision by 60%, while saving the average driver only four minutes on a trip" as stated in the press release.
CAA additionally asked Canadians to list their top dangerous driving behaviors, including 45 % of respondents admitting to speeding, 32% engaging with technology in their car, 22% speeding in residential zones, 19% driving well over the speed limit, and 18% admitting to driving when too tired.
Poll findings were based on responses from 2,503 Canadians, 165 of whom were from Saskatchewan.
