UPDATE:
Physician coverage has been found for the emergency department (ED) at the Fairview Health Complex as of 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 12. The emergency department will be fully open and available to area residents in need of urgent care at this time.
The previous Public Service Announcement issued Jan. 10 stated that the Fairview Health Complex would be temporarily without on-site physician coverage from 7 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 11 to 7 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13. This is now partially rescinded.

ORIGINAL NEWS RELEASE
Due to the inability to secure physician coverage, the Fairview Health Complex Emergency Department will be temporarily without on-site physician coverage from 7 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 11 to 7 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 13.
During this time, nursing staff will remain on-site in the Emergency Department providing triage, assessments, and referrals for patients to alternate Emergency Departments in neighbouring communities, as needed.
Patients are asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency. EMS will remain available to the community and will be re-routed to surrounding healthcare centres.
