The Niverville Nighthawks hit the road over the weekend and after starting the trip with a win, couldn't keep the momentum as they were shutout the following night.
On Friday, the Nighthawks defeated the Swan Valley Stampeders 4-1, thanks to some former Stamps finding their way with their new club.
Nathan Brown started the night off with his 9th of the year from Alex Walicki and Avery Laliberte. For Brown, the marker gave him back-to-back games with notching a goal.
A few minutes later, Walicki potted his first as a member of the Nighthawks from Brown and Brendan Bottem.
Swan would cut the lead in half on a power play but the period ended with Niverville up 2-1.
Niverville took the game over in the second.
The visitors managed to outshoot Swan 21-9 and upped the lead to 4-1.
Carter Spirig netted his 7th of the year from Colin Whaley and Josh Danis.
Danis would pick up his first with the Nighthwaks from Luke McCrady.
The third didn't produce any goals so the 4-1 score stood tall, improving Niverville's record to 22-14-2.
Raiden Legall picked up the win making 25 saves on the night. The power play finished 0-1 while the penalty kill was 3-4.
On Saturday, the Nighthawks couldn't keep the good times rolling as they went into Dauphin and were beaten 6-0 by the Kings.
Niverville surrendered 3 goals in the first period while also trailing in shots 24-10.
Another goal in the second put the game further away before the Kings sealed it with a pair in the third to capture a 6-0 win.
Raiden Legall gave up 3 goals on 24 shots before giving way to Keegan Gordon to start the second period and he finished with 18 saves on 21 shots.
The power play had some chances but ended up finishing 0-4 while the penalty kill was 3-3.
Up next, the Nighthawks return home to face the Steinbach Pistons Wednesday night at the CRRC.
