Another report of the gift card scam has filtered into Morden Police Service.
According to police, the victim had been speaking with a man online who had deposited cheques into the victim's bank account. The victim then bought gift cards with that money and provided their numbers to the suspect, who then later cancelled the cheques.
Police say the victim is out the money spent on the gift cards.
Meantime, sometime between February 1st and 2nd, someone cut the box cover on a truck in Morden. The incident was reported to police last week Tuesday. According to police, the incident happened when the victim's truck was parked overnight on Red Oak Lane.
Additionally, officers were called to a business on Thornhill Street last Thursday after someone threw a rock at a window, breaking one of the panes. No other damage was reported, and police say no entry was gained into the business.
