Local school bus drivers might be taking another morning off with the extreme cold warning still active around west-central Saskatchewan. Since Monday, extreme cold has blanketed the central portion of the province.
The Living Sky School School Division, Sun West School Division, and Chinook School Division (Leader) all have different criteria when it comes to cancelling buses due to cold weather. For students in the Leader area, along with the Sun West School Division, the decision is made to cancel routes whenever temperatures reach -40. Both division's policy states that families will be notified directly regarding the situation.
