Garry Allan Sells, age 73, passed away peacefully at The Meadows in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, on March 27, 2024, with his family by his side. Garry was born May 25, 1950, in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, the eldest son of Jack and Sylvie Sells.

Garry was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his sister, Debbie Fletcher (Butch). Her children, Kristine Sandberg (Lance); their children, Calla, Lena, and Kace and Corey Fletcher (Sandy); Sandy’s children, Jayde, Drayton, and Isabelle; his brother, Jim Sells (Maryanne); his children, Tara Lingenfelter (Shawn), their children, Ryden, Grace and Phoenix, Derek Sells (Crystal), Tyler Sells and his sister-in-law, Gerry Sells.

Garry resided in many places, with the most current being at Sydney House, with Southwest Homes, in Swift Current, for seven years before moving to The Meadows in Swift Current a year ago. Throughout his life, Garry was an avid sports fan and enjoyed being the bat boy for the Gull Lake Greyhounds in his younger years. He loved watching hockey, the Gull Lake Greyhounds, both hockey and ball teams, & CFL, and Garry knew everything about all the teams and the players, especially his beloved Saskatchewan Roughriders. He had an incredible memory for stats. He especially enjoyed visiting and getting together with his nieces, nephews, and great-nephews and great- nieces. He always liked keeping track of old friends and hearing what everyone was up to. Over the years, he enjoyed attending the Moose Jaw Warriors games when he lived in Moose Jaw and the Swift Current Bronco games when he moved to Swift Current. He also enjoyed watching his nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces play hockey & baseball. He loved holidays and his birthday and was never late for any event.

The family would like to thank Southwest Homes and The Meadows staff for Garry’s care over the last eight years. A private family interment will be held at the Gull Lake Cemetery at a later date.
