The family of Kenneth Grant Wik would like to share this Celebration of Life with all who knew & loved Ken, Husband, Dad, Grandpa & Great Grandpa on this day, just shy of his 83 birthday.

Ken was born in Swift Current, October 28th 1941 to Jack & Ruth Wik. He was also the younger brother to his only sister, Jackie (Maclean).

The family of Ken Wiebe is saddened to announce his sudden passing at his home in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan on September 5, 2024 at the age of 73. There will be no formal funeral. It is with great sadness the family of Melva Marie Jurgens age 86 announce her passing on September 2, 2024 at the Meadows in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. The funeral mass was held on September 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Christ The Redeemer Roman Catholic Church in Swift Current, Saskatchewan with Father Daniel Malone officiating. The pallbearers were Grandson Carson Wiebe, Mike Erdahl, Gary Wilson, Florence Wilson, Archie Green and Kathy Green. The honorary pallbearers were her grandson Brandon Wiebe and all who shared in Melva’s life.

The Funeral Service for Mr. Dale Stenson of Gull Lake will take place on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Knox United Church, Gull Lake, SK.

The service will be livestreamed on Knox United Church Facebook page.

The interment will take place at Gull Lake Cemetery, Gull Lake, SK.

The funeral mass for Mr. Leo Laturnus of Swift Current, Saskatchewan and formerly of the Val Marie area, will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from Christ The Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Ferdinand Eusebio officiating.

Prayers will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Warren’s Funeral Home.

The private family interment service for Mr. Leo Laturnus will take place at the Val Marie Cemetery.

It is with great sadness the family of Hannah Irene Rehn announce her passing on August 29, 2024 at the Health Centre in Outlook, Saskatchewan at the age of 96.  Hannah was born in Aberdeen, Saskatchewan on September 3, 1927.  Hannah is survived by her children Rudy (Charlene), Brenda (Dean), Debbie (Howard), Cheryl (Arnold), her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her brother Vic (Joan).  She is predeceased by her loving husband Rudy of 55 years, her parents Mary and Ambrose, and her brothers Frank, Len and Herb.  Hannah enjoyed spending time with her family especially in Cypress Hills

It is with heartfelt sadness the family of Lena "Helen" Manthey announce her passing on August 22, 2024, at the age of 94 at The Meadows, in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. A time of viewing will take place at the Rosenhof Cemetery on Monday August 26, 2024 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the graveside service which will be held at 2:00 PM from the Rosenhof Somerfeld Cemetery, in Rosenhof, Saskatchewan, with Reverend Annette Taylor officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Canadian National Institute of the Blind.

Age 94 of Swift Current passed away Saturday Aug 17, 2024 at Cypress Regional Hospital. The funeral was held at First United Church in Swift Current at 11:00 am Saturday Aug 24, 2024 with Rev. Annette Taylor officiating. The pianist was Karen MacCallum. Choir: First United ChurchChoir. Eulogist: Chris Mulhall. Ushers: Michael Henry Moritz and Bill Moritz. Interment service held at Memory Gardens Cemetery Swift Current. Pallbearers were Seth Schmaltz, Robert Lacher, Carson Lacher, Landyn Lacher, Tenzen Brochu, River Mulhall, Will Kirwan and Sam Kirwan.

Simone passed away peacefully on August 11, 2024 at the Foyer St Joseph Nursing Home in Ponteix, Sask at the age of 91. She was born to Guillaume Forget and Rachel (Rousseau) on Dec 18, 1932 at their farm in Ponteix. Simone was the 4th of 8 children. She attended Notre Dame East School a country school (grade 1-8) Ponteix Convent (grade 9), Sion Academy Saskatoon ( grade 10) and Scott's Business College, Saskatoon, Sask where she obtained a secretarial course and worked for Mid-West Dental Supply office for a couple years.
