Roughly 200 people are singing praises after being baptized on Easter Sunday at a beach near Clearwater, Florida.
'Resurrection Sunday Held on the Beach' brought out over 400 people and the church service was led by Senior Leader of the Core Group, Jenny Weaver.
At 17 years old, Weaver found herself addicted to drugs and living on the streets. She was also deeply into the occult and called herself a witch.
"You would feel demon spirits literally walking by you like a human being was walking by you," she says in an interview. "Touching you. Scraping the wall. It went from, 'Oh, this is gonna be really fun,' into, 'I'm gonna choke you out until you die. I'm gonna take your life.' All the time. Constantly tormented."
Weaver wound up in jail and it was in a prison cell when she gave her life to Jesus. In 2022 she decided to start a ministry for women, to mentor them, called the Core Group.
"When they come in, there is deliverance that is happening," Weaver says. "There's restoration that is happening. Women are crying and holding each other. They're forming life-long kingdom relationships and then they are going out on Saturdays, with this same group, and they are ministering to the community."
The group meets twice a week to praise the Lord and lead one another in discipleship. This Core Group and many more attended the Easter service on the beach where revival and praise broke out.
"I felt like we were a part of the Jesus Revolution movie," said someone on Instagram who attended the beach church service. "The crowd that was watching us blew me away!"
The police came over on a beach cruiser during the worship service to see what the commotion was all about. Once they heard it was a church service baptizing people, they said "cool" and were on their way, according to Weaver.
"We probably have thousands of testimonies at this point," Weaver said on Facebook. "Women giving up pill addiction, putting down weed. We have testimonies of women's legs growing out while in prayer with us. After years and years of being wobbly and having pain in their body... being completely healed. My heart is to see people set free, whole, and walking in their true identity."
