A 24-year-old man remains in a Winnipeg hospital with non-life threatening but serious injuries, following a two-vehicle crash south of Carman Thursday afternoon.

According to Manitoba RCMP's initial investigation, a semitruck and a pickup truck were travelling south on Highway 3 when a second semi, heading west on Highway 23 crossed the intersection. This caused the drivers of the first semi and the pickup to slam on the brakes, however police say the pickup truck, which was towing a flat deck trailer, was unable to stop before hitting the semi in front of it.
