The Moose Jaw Warriors are gearing up for Friday night's game against the Blades in Saskatoon.

This series has a family rivalry, with Moose Jaw Warrior Atley Calvert facing off against his brother, Rowan who plays for the Blades.

Atley says it's been a dream to play for the Warriors. "I know my grandpa, he'd be real proud of me and my brother playing here, playing against each other for a chance to go to the final."

Rowan Calvert said they've been civil despite the rivalry. "The only time we're every really bickering at each other is either between shifts or on the golf course. We keep it light."

Game 2 of the WHL Eastern Conference Championship series will also be in Saskatoon, before the Warriors are back in Moose Jaw on Tuesday and Wednesday for Games 3 and 4.

Cornerstone came out on top at the Junior City Badminton Championship.  Cornerstone's Nolan Oliveros and Shu Nakamura won the Boys Doubles title, Shyanne Greenwood-Gadd and Lydia Pryadko got first in Girls Doubles, and Hailey Doyle was first in Girls Singles. Gwen Balayut and Carl Palacio from Vanier got first place in Mixed Doubles, and it was Central's Rhyen Ubell taking the Boys Singles championship.

As the first round of Stanley Cup Playoffs continues, the Toronto Maple Leafs fell 4-2 to the Boston Bruins yesterday, with the Bruins now holding a 2-1 series lead. The Edmonton Oilers also fell to the Los Angeles Kings 5-4 in overtime - they're now tied at a game apiece. And the Vegas Golden Knights took a 2-games-to-none lead in their first round series with Dallas, beating the Stars 3-1.

In Major League Baseball yesterday, the Toronto Blue Jays lost 3-2 to the Kansas City Royals.
