PIEPER With great sadness and grief, the family of Adrian Earle Pieper announces his sudden passing on Monday, April 29th, 2024. Adrian was born in Eston Union Hospital on March 14th, 1952, to his parents’ great joy, Leora (née: Caldwell) and Earle Pieper.
Adrian lived most of his life in Isham hamlet, SK where also went to school, sometime riding his pony to school and slapping it on its butt to send her back home. From an early age he would help his father on the farm but always knew he would likely end up with a different trade. After high school, Adrian decided to move to Calgary, AB and after the required years of training, he obtained his Welding certificate. He was a great welder, achieving a fame in the welding community of being a master in his trade and was sought after by many companies for his expertise. In 1976, Adrian met Judy and his crazy bachelor days came to an end. They married in Calgary on March 17th, 1978, and shortly after moved back to the Isham farm so Adrian could join his father at farming. Two years later, his pride and joy was born, Jerrit Willam was welcomed into the family and 18 months later his heart burst again when daughter Hayley Jocelyn made the family complete. Adrian continued to work the farm and weld in the off season until 2012 when he chose to retire. A happy time was ahead, full of travel and adventure, and then a move to Moose Jaw, SK to be closer to his beloved grandchildren, Elsa and Sloane, and step-granddaughter, Phoenix.
These were wonderful years, Adrian loved being in Moose Jaw and last year Jerrit joined the family when he also moved to Moose Jaw to be closer to all. Life did throw some challenges as health issues arose several times, but he dealt with them and moved forward and didn’t let them stop him from doing what he loved or being with those he loved, his family. Adrian is survived by his loving wife, Judy Gale (née: Freimanis); son, Jerrit William; daughter, Hayley Jocelyn Downton and son-in-law Mike; beloved granddaughters: Elsa, Sloane, and Phoenix; sister, Cheryl Coombs (Terry); mother, Leora Pieper; mother-in-law, Elsa Freimanis; brother-in-law, Peter Freimanis and his wife Nora McKee; brother-in-law, Bob Freimanis (Kim); along with several nieces and nephews.
