It’s been two weeks since American missionaries Davy and Natalie Lloyd and Haitian missions director Jude Montis were brutally killed by gang members in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
Montis’s funeral was held last week, while Davy and Natalie Lloyd’s memorial service was Tuesday.
The trio served with Missions In Haiti, Inc. operating an orphanage in the increasingly volatile capital.
This attack has prompted other local ministries to assess security.
Christian World Outreach (CWO) operates a Feminine Training Center in Port-au-Prince. CWO’s Greg Yoder says, “Safety is our big concern for them and for those like the ladies who come to our Feminine Training Center in Port-au-Prince.
“We finally made a really hard, difficult decision to suspend classes two weeks ago because we want their safety to be a priority.”

The Feminine Training Center with CWO equipps women in Haiti with small business training.
Despite the suspension of classes, Yoder says, “The ladies will still want to come. They want the training so they can start their own business or get a job if there’s one available. But that’s even made it more difficult for these ladies to even find a job when things are closed down.”
CWO continues to support a church and run a feeding program for children in Port-au-Prince. However, “Even to go to market or get food, it’s a dangerous thing just to do anything outside your home.”
Yoder asks, “Pray for their safety and pray that God will intervene in some way.”
Also, pray for God’s comfort over the families of Montis, and Davy and Natalie Lloyd.
Please also consider supporting CWO’s ministry at this time. The people of Haiti desperately need help and hope that only comes from Jesus Christ.
