The student awards are a partnership between the governor's office and the ASBA to celebrate exceptional students from across Alberta who have shown tremendous growth in developing skills to better themselves through determination, initiative, and independence, leading to their academic and personal improvement.

"I am very honoured to receive this award, "said Kairoh." It makes me feel respected and proud of the great things I am doing."

"We are incredibly proud of Kairoh," shared Josh Hartman, Principal of Hillside Community School. "He leads by example daily with kindness, empathy, and compassion and is very deserving of this honour."

In the nomination for the award, Kairoh is described as a student who demonstrates respect and a commitment to fostering a sense of belonging. His involvement in different team sports and events inspires others, and he consistently strives to do well in his studies, generously adding his valuable knowledge and stories.
