It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our dearest Mother, Grand-mother, Great Grand-mother, Sister and Aunt, Anne Marie Ford (Gould) on June 19th, 2024 from a brief illness in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 71.
Anne was the youngest child and only daughter of 4 children born to Stanley & Ruth Gould (Malchow) on April 2nd, 1953 at Swift Current, SK. Anne grew up on a farm near Cantuar, she loved animals and was especially fond of horses. Anne began her school life at Success school where she eventually met her forever love Terry.
Terry & Anne were married on April 4th, 1970 in Swift Current with their first child Gregory born later that year on September 18, 1970 followed by their second son Jeffrey, born on September 6th, 1972.
After moving and living in the Success area all her life, the decision was made to pack up and move to Hanna, AB for a short time. They both returned to the Cantuar area where the youngest child and only daughter Amanda was born on February 9th, 1977. Life on the farm continued until her children were old enough so that she could begin a professional career in the mid ‘80s. She eventually found her dream occupation of helping others.
In 2005 Anne became the Parent Mentor Program Coordinator. Through this role she supported many parents with young children. After over a decade with the Parent Mentor Program she became the Director of the Family Resource Centre and continued to positively impact the lives of many young families. Anne loved her work and encouraging families to reach their goals and full potential. She loves it so much that even after a short retirement she returned to the Family Resource Centre as a program facilitator in 2023 until April 30th when she had her final retirement. Her impact on families in this community will be remembered for years to come. Anne remained on the farm until 2019.
Anne will be lovingly remembered by her children Greg, Jeff(Ang) and Amanda(Paul), her grandchildren Kyler, Reilen, Taylor(Kiefer), Kayne, Angus, Grady and Mason along with her great grandchildren Walker, Michael, Mya, Blake and Kylin. Anne will be sorely missed by her brothers Garland(Joanne), Wayne and Bob (Bea). Along with numerous nieces and nephews. She also will be dearly missed by her amazing friends and acquaintances.
Anne was predeceased by her parents Stan & Ruth, her husband Terry and sister in law Jean.
A celebration of Anne’s life will be held in Swift Current, SK at the Community Baptist Church on Thursday June 27th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
