The East Central AAA 18U Red Sox suffer a 4-2 loss to the Sask Five Marlins

The East Central AAA 18U Red Sox suffered a 4-2 loss to the Sask Five Marlins last night in SPBL action. 

The Marlins struck first with a double by Willis Simair for the opening run.  

Kacen Hyra returned the favour for the Red Sox with a single RBI in the top of the third. In the bottom of the same inning, Simair smacked a triple for another pair followed by a Rhett Anderson sacrifice fly to take it to 4-1 for the Marlins.  

Red Sox’ Marek Yeager finished off the scoring in the sixth with a single.  

The Swift Current Kal Tire 57s pull in on Sunday at 2:00 pm for a matchup at James Korte Field just ahead of the Canada Day SPBL All-Star Games.
