The Northwest International Ag Expo, a premier agricultural event focused on education, innovation, and networking, is set to take place in Emo, Ontario, Canada, from July 25 to 27, 2024. This three-day event, hosted by the Northwest Soil & Crop Improvement Association, will be the event of the season, highlighting key knowledge on crops, livestock, and soil compaction, connecting with fellow producers and agri-business.

Thursday July 25th will kick off with a tour of the Ontario Crops Research Centre – Emo, discussing the current research and what is happening in the region.

On Friday July 26th, the Expo will feature a comprehensive program of knowledge sharing sessions led by industry experts. These workshops will cover topics relevant to the agricultural landscape of Northwest Ontario and surrounding regions, including soil health, forage management, livestock handling, pest management, among the six specialist topics. Participants will gain valuable insights and practical knowledge that they can apply to their own operations.

In addition to the speaker sessions, the expo will host a live soil compaction demonstration with equipment driving over sensors at 6, 12 and 20 inches in wet and dry conditions.  Attendees will have the opportunity to see the impact of commonly used equipment on soil compaction and explore techniques and best practices to mitigate and correct compaction.

A key highlight of the Northwest International Ag Expo is the exhibitor showcase. This section of the Expo will feature a wide variety of companies offering products and services relevant to the agricultural industry. Attendees can browse the exhibitor booths, network with industry representatives, and learn about the latest offerings that can help them improve their operations.

Saturday July 27th participants will tour the region’s agricultural businesses, farms, and research sites, giving a full view of agriculture in northwest Ontario.

The Expo also recognizes the importance of networking and relationship building within the agricultural community. Throughout the event, there will be numerous opportunities for attendees to connect with fellow farmers, agribusiness professionals, and industry experts. These networking opportunities will foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the development of valuable business relationships.

The Northwest International Ag Expo offers a unique platform for producers and agricultural stakeholders to learn, connect, and grow. With its comprehensive educational program, live demonstrations, extensive exhibitor showcase, and strong focus on networking, the Expo is an invaluable resource for anyone involved in the agricultural industry.
