A Nashville baseball crowd recently witnessed the lengths one player went to publicly share his faith in God.
Minor league baseball player for the Nashville Sounds, Wes Clarke, turned a Saturday baseball game into a church service recently.
The Sounds played the Memphis Redbirds on July 6 and won 4-1. After the win, a tub was brought out on the field and Clarke was baptized right there.
"Had the privilege of being baptized yesterday on the field by one of my good friends @brewerhicklen after our game," says Clarke on Instagram.
Clarke and his baptizing teammate Brewer Hicklen exchanged their uniforms for t-shirts that read 'Jesus won.'
"Thank you Jesus for this amazing moment in my life. I am incredibly blessed to be surrounded by so many supportive people. It was such a special night!"
Before taking the plunge, Clarke also shared his testimony with the crowd.
"My husband and I were in tears hearing your testimony," one bystander commented on Clarke's post. "My (almost) 4-year-old son got so excited to see a “big baseball player” get baptized."
