While the details are unknown, a megachurch pastor in Frisco, Texas, has been terminated after he confessed to a 'moral failure.'
Stonebriar Community Church is a non-denominational church that fired long-time pastor Tony Cammarota.
"On Sunday afternoon July 7th, Pastor Tony Cammarota confessed to church leadership of a moral failure," the church leadership posted in a statement emailed to the congregation. "He is deeply remorseful, but his sin disqualifies him from serving on our staff as a pastor."
The elders of the church did not say what the 'moral failures' were that Cammarota committed and went so far as to encourage people not to speculate.

"Please guard against giving the Devil any foothold for more damage to our church through unnecessary speech and speculation. This is a sad day, and we don't want the Devil making it worse through any one of us in the days ahead."
Without giving details, the church also asked people to pray for the family during this time.
"After much prayer seeking God's direction, discussions as leaders, and then talking to Tony we have terminated his employment effective immediately. While Tony will no longer be employed with us at Stonbriar, please pray with us as we continue demonstrating the grace of Christ to him and his family. They need our help."
A similar incident happened just 30 minutes away at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship when earlier this month pastor Tony Evans confessed to a 'previous sin' and stepped down from leadership.
Stonebriar Community Church was initially founded by the well-known pastor and speaker, Chuck Swindoll, in 1998.
Commarota has made no public statement at this time. He was a pastor at Stonebriar for the past 17 years.
