Fire ban for resort village of Manitou Beach

Administration from the resort village of Manitou Beach has announced an immediate fire ban for the community. No fire pits or outdoor burning of any kind is permitted. 

The village has asked that people who have outdoor water hoses leave them connected and ready for use if needed.

The fire ban comes as the Saskatchewan Public Safety agency indicates that much of the southern part of the province has been placed in the extreme category under the current fire weather index.
