On Tuesday, July 23, 2024, Fox Lake RCMP received a complaint from concerned citizens in regards to a video that was posted on social media. The video depicted a male consuming drugs, alcohol, as well as discharging a firearm from a residential window. RCMP were familiar with the male and the residence, and were able to secure a search warrant on the property in Fox Lake.
Upon search of the residence, a male and female were arrested and taken into custody. RCMP were able to locate two long barrel firearms, a modified prohibited magazine, ammunition, and approximately 220 grams of suspected cocaine.
Dusty Laboucan (29), a resident of Fox Lake, was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Fail to comply with Order x 3
- Careless use of firearm
- Unsafe storage of firearm x2
- Possession of firearm/device knowing possession was unauthorized x3
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking
Summer D’or (23), a resident of Garden River, was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Unsafe storage of firearm x2
- Possession of firearm/device knowing possession was unauthorized x3
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking
Both Laboucan and D’or were held for a Judicial Interim Release Hearing and were remanded into custody for July 25, 2024.
