To honour their bandmate who recently passed away, the Oak Ridge Boys are releasing a new music video.

Joe Bonsall, the tenor vocalist of the country and gospel vocal quartet the Oak Ridge Boys, passed away a few weeks ago on July 9, 2024. He led the vocals for the group for 51 years and passed away at the age of 76 from ALS.

"'Promised Land' is a great example of Joe Bonsall's ability to capture the message of a great song and communicate that message to the listener," says band member Richard Sterbanin in an interview with PEOPLE. "His performance is unforgettable."

The song 'Promised Land' is on their 2021 album Front Porch Singin.

The lyrics that start off the song, sung by Bonsall, "Don't weep for me when I'm dead and gone, For I'll just be going home," feel perfect for the moment.

The Oak Ridge Boys minus Bonsall continue to tour across the U.S.A. on their American Made Farewell Tour. The band that has shared music for decades have taken home 12 GMA Dove Awards as well as five Grammies.
