Several road and lane closures will occur this week in and around Airdrie. Motorists are asked to exercise caution and obey all traffic signs in the construction areas.

Closures include:

  • Intermittent lane closure on Main Street South on Monday, July 29 from 7:30 p.m. to 6 am. The closure is to accommodate milling and paving for the 2024 Road Rehabilitation Program.

  • Intermittent lane closures will begin on Wednesday, July 31 from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. to accommodate paving for the 2024 Road Rehabilitation Program. The closures will last till Thursday, August 1.

  • Intermittent lane closures will also occur on East Lake Crescent beginning Wednesday, July 31 from 7:30 p.m. to 6 am and will last till Thursday, August 1. The closures are to accommodate paving for the 2024 Road Rehabilitation Program.

  • Beginning Wednesday, July 31 and lasting till Thursday, August 1, there will also be intermittent lane closures on Edmonton Trail, by the Town and Country Centre beginning at 7:30 p.m. and lasting till 6 am to accommodate paving for the 2024 Road Rehabilitation Program.

  • Next week, beginning on Tuesday, August 6, a temporary lane closure will occur on Erin Drive to accommodate deep utility rehabilitation. This will last till September 21.

  • Beginning later this month, on Monday, August 19 and lasting till the beginning of October, Township Road 274 will be closed down to accommodate the Nose Creek Bridge Restoration project.

"The City of Airdrie is proposing to repair the existing bridge structure on Twp Rd 274 over top of Nose Creek. The repairs will specifically include the replacement of the existing concrete girders and timber piles. The proposed bridge repair activities will also include extension of the existing guardrails and some minor roadway improvements extending 10-20 [meters] along Twp Rd 274 from the bridge deck surface," a public notice regarding the  Nose Creek Bridge Restoration project stated.
