UPDATE:

The Perimeter Highway has been reopened at Dugald Road following a serious crash Tuesday morning.

At approximately 12:35 a.m., Oakbank RCMP arrived on the scene and noted three pickup trucks and a semi-trailer that were involved in the crash.

Officers from Beausejour, St-Pierre-Jolys, Red River North, Selkirk and the Winnipeg Police Service helped on the scene.

After initial investigation, it was determined that three pickup trucks were heading westbound on Highway 15 when it appears that one of the pickup trucks made contact with another westbound truck. After making contact, it caused the first truck to lose control and veer to the right when it struck the side of a semi-trailer which was stopped at the red light in the southbound lane of the Perimeter Highway.

The male driver of the first pickup was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the second pickup was transported to the hospital in Winnipeg with serious injuries. The driver of the third pickup was released after being treated on the scene. All males were in their 20s. The 69-year-old male semi-driver was not injured.

Oakbank RCMP continue to investigate.
