Starting Wednesday, July 31, sidewalk paving stones on 100 Avenue, east of 102 Street on the south side of the road, will undergo repairs. The project, carried out by a land developer, is expected to last 4 to 6 weeks.

Construction will take place on the south side of 100 Avenue, from the alleyway east of 102 Street to midblock. Alley access will remain open to the public, and westbound traffic on 100 Avenue will be maintained. However, there may be minor periodic traffic impacts as the work progresses.

A walking detour will be in effect around the construction site to ensure the safety of pedestrians. The parking lanes on the south side of 100 Avenue adjacent to the site will be blocked off and used as a working area. There will be no impact on transit services during the project.

Although the City of Grande Prairie is not involved in the project, Capital Planning & Construction Manager Matt Hinton commented on the upcoming project: "This work is important for maintaining safe and accessible sidewalks. We appreciate the public's cooperation and patience during the construction period."
